

Race For Life. Sunday June 6th. A group of 14 parents and staff joined up to walk, jog and run in the Hampstead Cancer Research 5K 'Race For Life' on a sunny Sunday morning. Crossing the line first from The Hall 'team' was Askinia Shier, lab assistant and marathon runner, who finished 22nd out of 3,000+ entrants. Close behind her were Sally Swycher, Gerry Smurfitt and Charlotte Heather who all completed the 5K in under 30 minutes. A fun time was had by all, raising over £4,500 in the process.
An Evening with Steve Biddulph. Thursday 20th May 2010. 350 parents from Reception through to Year 8 packed the Wathen Hall to hear renowned Australia based psychologist and author Steve Biddulph talk about 'Raising Boys'. Steve's talk was greeted with rapturous applause from an audience who had listened intently for almost two hours. Parents described the evening as 'thought provoking', 'inspiring' and 'enlightening'.
HSPA Quiz. Thursday 25th February 2010. A fun and relaxed evening, conducted in an appropriately light-hearted competitive spirit, was won (again!) by team comprising Rebecca Willis, Nick Ritblat, Joe Smouha, Lucy Smouha, Bernard George, Frances George, Rosanna Gardner, Antony Gardner, Delia Boylan and Lloyd Gruber. Many thanks to all who supported the evening.
BIG (WET) BANG! The Autumn Term went off with a bang (and a heavy helping of rain too), at the inaugural Fireworks Party at Wilf Slack on November 6th 2009. Our sincere thanks to the 1,000 parents, children and staff who braved the elements in true Dunkirk spirit to make it a really memorable evening.
AGM - Dr Anthony Seldon Dr Anthony Seldon, Master of Wellington College, author, historian and educationalist, addressed the HSPA AGM on November 18th. It was an interesting and entertaining presentation in which Dr Seldon shared his thoughts on the future of Senior Education, and on how to get the best out of our children at home and school by developing every facet of their intelligence.
