The Arts - Design and Technology

The purpose-designed Design Technology Centre features a double-height work space. There is a design studio on the upper level equipped with drawing boards and ICT facilities, and a full range of power tools and specialist equipment in the main workshop area. Boys have full use of the facilities from Year 4 in half classes which allows for close monitoring and enables boys to make sense of appliances and processes, primarily through first hand experience and exploration. Design Technology also allows them to develop their creative skills through planning, designing and making. There are opportunities for boys to use the facilities under teacher supervision at break times and after school.
