Sports

Boys at The Hall take part in Physical Education lessons and Games from the time they begin their schooling here until they leave . From the acquisition of basic  skills and fun games in Reception to playing matches of football, cricket, tennis, hockey and rugby against other schools as they progress through the years.  The aim of the Physical Education department is to provide the teaching of foundation (to advanced) skills enabling all boys to participate in many sports. Hopefully they will enjoy sport and be encouraged towards life long participation.

Sports Days are held in the Summer term for Junior, Middle and Senior School boys at the Wilf Slack Memorial Cricket ground where The Hall has four grass pitches and two astroturfs.

In addition to the most popular sports, The Hall offers swimming, golf, squash, fencing, gymnastics, cross country running, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, basketball and athletics to enthusiastic young sportsmen.

Teaching Physical Education and Games is the role of three  experienced Physical Education specialists, external coaches and many energetic staff members.
